It's free to download, and you can actually start using it without registering—though eventually, you'll want to sign up to save your projects. There are in-app purchases for extra features, and yeah, you'll see some ads unless you pay to remove them.

Using Pollo AI is surprisingly straightforward. You just type in a description of what you want, like “a cat riding a skateboard in a park,” and the app generates a short video based on that. You can also upload a photo and animate it, which is fun for bringing still images to life. My tip? Keep your prompts simple and specific—long, rambling descriptions tend to produce messy results. Also, experiment with the style options; they have presets for realistic, cartoon, or even cinematic looks.

I ended up choosing Pollo AI over other similar apps, like Runway ML or Pika Labs, mainly because it's more user-friendly and doesn't require you to mess around with complex settings. Plus, the Google Play version runs smoother on my phone than some of the web-based alternatives.
